Before going to Williamsburg, we toured Berkeley Plantation. On the James River, Berkeley was the home of Benjamin Harrison IV, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and William Henry Harrison, his son and a U.S. President.
Berkeley was built in 1726. You'll find this stone over the door on the side of the house. The initials of the owners, Benjamin and his wife, Anne, are carved into the stone. You have to look up or you'll miss this stone.
