Littleton

Several years ago, we took my father-in-law "home" to Littleton, West Virginia. We thought it would be a good thing, but the area is so depressed now, it just made him sad. This was the Bank of Littleton, built in 1906. It's in a sad state today, but I imagine it was the pride of Littleton back in its heyday.

Old Hundred

Thomas Chapel is located in the little town of Hundred, West Virginia. My husband's roots run deep there. The town is named for his ancestor, Henry Church.

This little church can be found in the hills of West Virginia ... Wetzel County to be specific. It didn't dawn on me when we started our trip that the cemeteries wouldn't be on flat land. We got plenty of exercise that week seeking out family graves.
