4th Virginia Black Horse Cavalry

We spent yesterday afternoon at the Brentsville Courthouse watching a re-enactment of the 4th Virginia Black Horse Cavalry's 1861 ride from Brentsville to Manassas. During the day, infantry, cavalry and artillery held drills and demonstrations followed by new recruits being mustered in inside the Courthouse. Before leaving for Manassas, the troop was presented a new flag.
