Rosebush blooms again

My Mother's Day rosebush is full of blooms again. Guess it's all the rain we've had lately.

Poor Teddy

He never gets to win the race. He snuck out to get a head start and the race was headed in the opposite direction.

Washington Nationals

Just got home from the Nats game. They lost.

But we got lucky and Strasburg was pitching.

The mystery plant multiplies

It's really not a mystery plant to me now, I just like to call it that. It's a Spider Lily that I transplanted from Georgia. I usually find a single flower that popped up out of nowhere. This year, there are many. First time that's happened.

Hummer in the tree

Yesterday I watched the Hummingbird stop at the feeder and then fly into the tree where it would sit for a long time. This morning I spotted one in the tree and then noticed movement in another tree. Turns out there are two Hummers!

Hummingbird finds my feeder

Finally! It's been weeks since I put the feeder out. I put red, blue, and green water out but it was the purple water that did it. Fitting, since that's my favorite color.

Great Falls

The remnants of Tropical Storm Lee is drenching the Washington DC metro area this week. I'd like to see what Great Falls looks like now.

The Lady and Sons

Last week a friend was talking of possibly visiting Savannah this week and making a stop at The Lady and Sons restaurant. It reminded me of our visit there several years ago. I love Paula Deen and her sons Jamie and Bobby, but we were all disappointed with the food there.

The highlight of the visit was seeing Paula's wedding dress in the window.

A blue frog

As far as I'm concerned, frogs aren't supposed to be blue. It just looks weird.

Sphinx moth

I saw this moth in the garage as I was leaving work today. I believe it's a Sphinx moth, although I have no clue of the particular type.
