Can't get enough of the Waxwing

I walked outside yesterday after work to look for Lucky, our neighborhood rabbit. Didn't find him but the mulberry tree was active so I watched the Cedar Waxwing for an hour instead.

I continue to watch the Cedar Waxwing feeding off the mulberry tree next door. This one looks like it ate one too many berries.

Hungry Lucky

Lucky showed up yesterday after being gone for a week. He came running up to me as I was walking through the yard. When he reached me, he stood up as if to say hello. It was cute. I figure he was hungry and was looking for food since I'm usually the one that gives him goodies. Of course, I had to help him out.

I stood outside in the rain yesterday to take pictures of the Waxwing. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a clear picture but am still posting this one as I thought it was interesting the way the bird swallows the whole berry.

This Red-bellied Woodpecker has been hanging around a lot lately. It's nice to see him back.

Year of Cedar Waxwing continues

I was walking in the backyard this weekend and heard the now familiar sound of the Cedar Waxwing. It took a few minutes but sure enough, there they were, feasting on my neighbor's mulberry tree.

Last night's Supermoon

We waited outside for an hour and were about to give up when we spotted a glowing orange corner of the Moon through the clouds. After that, the clouds cleared and we had a good view of the Moon as it rose into the night sky. I was disappointed though. It didn't look any closer or larger than a normal full Moon to me.
