I'm thankful I learned the song the Cedar Waxwing sings when they visited my neighbor's tree a couple of weeks ago ... it helped me spot two trees full of them two days ago just outside of Atlanta.

So the question of the day last Saturday was ... do rabbits drink water like a dog? And the answer is yes they do. Lucky probably hadn't had water for a while and drank from the bowl a solid five minutes!

I walked outside to throw some stale bread out for the birds and spotted this hawk sitting out on a dirt pile very close to my feeders.

My husband kicked me off the computer this morning so he could work on our taxes. I didn't really want to get off but did so since they have to be done. As I walked past the kitchen door I looked out the window and saw a lot of birds in the tree right beside my patio. I can't tell you how excited I was when I realized it was a flock of Cedar Waxwings migrating through Manassas Park. I'm thankful he kicked me off the computer this morning. It made my day!
