Great Blue Heron in creek

I spotted this Great Blue Heron today while checking on the Manassas Eagles. It came flying in over our head and then landed in the creek. It took a minute to find it. Glad we looked.

The Manassas Eagle usually sits in the dead trees but last weekend flew to the pine, twice

Still waiting on the eaglet to show itself

I check every weekend. Lots of activity in the nest but no eaglet yet. I expect it'll show itself by the end of March.
